Travellers At Work (TAW) is a specialist recruitment service for working holidaymakers in Australia. Members receive online access to thousands of job offers all over Australia and they can opt-in receive email notifications of new jobs as soon as they become available.
Jobs are available nationwide in a variety of industries including: Office Work, Farm Work, Au-Pair, Sales & Promotions, Factory Work, Retail, Trades & Labour. All jobs can be viewed online, but you need a TAW Membership to apply for jobs.
Once your TAW membership has been activated you can create an online resume. Once complete, you can apply for any of the positions on the TAW site. The employer will receive an email with your cover letter / message and your online resume.

It’s impossible to say. Jobs are competitive and there are lots of travellers looking for work. However, lots of jobs are available and if you have decent English, a great resume and relevant experience you should find something relatively soon.

The key to getting a job fast is having the right attitude – it is much more important than your education or experience. In your application you must convince the employer that you’re a hard-working and happy person who is eager to start work straight away and will stay until the job is done. (Most jobs last for 1-6 months, so you will have to consider staying in one location for a while).
TAW is a specialist recruitment company just for working holidaymakers. TAW’s Job Resourcers are constantly speaking with employers across the country and sourcing new jobs for their members which are posted on the TAW website.
  • TAW recruitment specialists are available to check resumes and cover letters and provide guidance and advice during the process of finding work
  • Unlike some sites all TAW jobs are for travellers. If you apply for jobs on Seek you’ll notice the employers usually only employ Aussies or people with a permanent Australian visa
  • TAW speaks with all employers before listing jobs on the site, to help ensure jobs are legitimate and employers are offering sufficient pay and decent working conditions
  • TAW jobs are unique. All jobs are sourced direct from the employer and not poached from other job sites
  • Create your resume. Copy the info from your resume and paste it into the Resume Form on the website
  • Create your covering letter, make sure to “wow” your potential employers by letting them know why you are the one for the job!
  • Apply for jobs! Your cover letter and resume will be sent direct to the employer. The employer will contact you by phone or email to arrange an interview
If you have spent 3 calendar months (or a total of 88 days on and off), working in designated regional parts of Australia doing what the Immigration Department classify ‘Specified Work’, then you could be eligible to apply for an extra year Down Under.
