Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE

This position is responsible for accurately undertaking salary packaging administration functions for customers. The incumbent maintains a high level of customer service consistently, whilst building open and transparent relationships with customers’ stakeholders and employees, focusing on adding value at all interactions.  

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Establish and modify benefits in line with financial legislative requirements
  • Formulate the reconciliation of all general ledger accounts for Salary Packaging Employee Benefits in line with the legislative requirements. This includes in depth analysis of budgeted items (Lease Operating Costs) versus actual costs, Payroll deductions versus Financier payments, FBT, LLIC and GST and further explanation of any variances
  • Prepare, reconcile and audit all transactions (revenue, expense, asset and liabilities) and ensure all Salary Packaging Benefits and accounts are maintained to ensure payments are received on time, accurate amounts are received as per debtor’s ledger, payments are made for accurate amounts and paid on time as per vendor ledger and all taxes are accounted for, charged or refunded correctly
  • Contribute to a great customer experience through positive interactions (internally and externally). Maintain external customers’ account in SAP and reconciliation files. Demonstrate the benefit and value of partnering with LeasePlan/Sgfleet
  • Ensure all customers are consistently educated by sharing knowledge that is up-to-date, including any tax and/or legislative changes impacting the salary packaging industry 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

 

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Accounting or equivalent. (desirable)
  • Good understanding of accounting and tax principles relating to accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and bank reconciliations
  • Effective communicator both verbally and in writing, demonstrating good listening and probing skills
  • Strong technical/numerical skills. Shares knowledge that is thorough and accurate
  • Knowledge of, or the capacity to quickly learn, the fundamentals of salary packaging arrangements as well as a good understanding of how salary packaging delivers benefits to employees and employers
