Project Engineer – Contract Role | Western Sydney

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer for a contract role on a large-scale commercial project based in Western Sydney, with a strong focus on Finishes and Fitout.

Key Responsibilities:

* Drive the programme of works to meet budget, quality, and safety targets.
* Lead planning and defect management through to project completion.
* Identify and resolve issues across project phases with limited supervision.
* Prepare construction reports, contracts, and schedules in line with company procedures and standards.
* Manage subcontractors and oversee engineering input from design submission to handover.
* Report directly to the Project Manager and Senior Engineers.
* Ensure high-quality delivery of finishes and Fitout stages, coordinating trades and managing timelines.

Skills & Experience Required:

* 3–5 years’ experience in the construction industry (commercial projects preferred).
* Strong competency in finishes and Fitout.
* Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related discipline.
* Proven experience in project or site engineering roles, especially on complex, high-volume projects.
* Expert knowledge of construction methodologies and standards.
